Fabric types

For the purpose of flower making, most fabrics and materials can be used, although, some fabrics need to be tested to see if they will cut and impress satisfactorily. Some examples of fabric types are: naturals, synthetics, silks, satins, sheers, cottons, organzas, chiffons, georgettes, laces, brocades, velvets, patterns, leathers, woollens  felts, nonwovens, plastics, mixtures, overlays, etc.. (The list is almost endless). The most popular fabrics used in flower making are: silks, silk satins (shiny on one side) and sheer (very fine) fabrics like georgette and organza.
